Step 4
Add Cheese – Remove fries from the oven. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and put it back into the oven until cheese has melted properly, for about 5 minutes besides being careful not to burn the French fries.
Step 5
Ranch Dressing – Remove it from oven and sprinkle with the fried bacon pieces and scallions. Then sprinkle green onions over it and serve it with sour cream for dipping or with ranch dressing. Serve hot immediately.

cheesy bacon fries
  • Instead of fries, you can replace them with tortilla chips to make a nachos version.
  • Almost any shredded cheese will work but prefer mixing two kinds of cheese gives the maximum flavour or you can even use homemade cheese sauce.
  • Pre-cooked bacon bits save time when planning for this dish. You can pre-bake the bacon over bacon oven racks and use it later to sprinkle with cheese and bacon bits or the bacon chips can be eaten just like that with cheese dip.
